Details

  • A classic Egyptian style show is around 15-25 minutes in length, and is suitable for most events. This generally includes a sweeping and elegant veil entrance number, upbeat dancing, audience participation and an exciting and climactic drum solo. Shorter or specialized performances are perfect for festivals and private parties. A combination of lesson and a performance is a great choice for parties, bridal showers and more!

  • A Tribal Fusion or other fusion show can be tailored to many different kinds of presentation. Dark, snake-like and earthy, tribal fusion is mysterious and hypnotic. Adding a fusion piece by a reputable bellydancer is a fantastic addition to any event. Generally this sort of act is shorter than an classic Egyptian show and is often complimented by other styles of performance in the same show.

  • Props such as finger cymbals, veil, sword and fire may be requested, and styles such as traditional folk, Turkish, Egyptian, Indian or fusion are also available upon request.

  • Requirements for a performance are a private, locking change room, a powerful CD system or live band and sufficient dancing space that is safe for bare feet.

  • Rates depend on date, location, frequency, and any special circumstances. Standard rates in Toronto are $100-$150 for a recurring nightclub/restaurant show, $200 for private events downtown, and $250 further in the GTA. A second performance less than an hour later is half price. For New Year's Eve, add 50% to the price.

  • Please keep in mind that bellydance is a respected art form and events like bachelor parties are not appropriate.
