Dancing since 1998 and armed with a degree in Kinesiology, Monique's passion for movement is more than just a pasttime. Taught by some of the art forms greatest stars including Sharon Kihara, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love and Amy Sigil of Unmata, Monique is at the forefront of the Tribal Fusion bellydance movement in Halifax. You can often find her performing independantly around the city, or with Pink Velvet Burlesque. She has recently had the pleasure of creating the stunning Tribal Fusion group, Mahari Tribal. A popular local instructor, Monique is interested in helping to increase the self-esteem of women through dance and fun, creative expression.
